Protonix Will help to absorb other medicines?

I take Protonix for ulcers, I just started to take Champix quit smoking. Does the Protonix prevent me from absorbing Chantix? I found a pproblem take with other medicines and do not know if this would work for smoking cessation.

Protonix will facilitate the lining of the stomach is irritated by the ulcers. Protonix is only recommended for use in the short term. Since Chantix is relatively new, it may or may not be any interaction (s). I would ask the Doc who prescribed the drug, or even ask your pharmacist. But more than likely, it should not cause a reduction in its effect (Chantix). Take as Protonix indicated, and then wait an hour or two before taking Chantix. Your wall of the stomach needs to heal, do not become more irritated. Hope that helps and good luck with kicking the habit.
