Causes of Lung Cancer – Information You Should Know

More men and women die from lung cancer than other cancers. Who is the most sensitive this disease? Nearly 70 percent of people aged 65 and older will be diagnosed with this disease. Three percent of lung cancer cases occurred among persons under 45 years.

History of lung disease – people with a history of cancer lung cancer are at greater risk of developing a second time. People who have survived lung cancer non-small cell risking a two percent of contracting the disease a second time while those who have fought small cell lung cancer have increased six per cent annually.

The Pollution – The chances of contracting lung cancer caused by air pollution is high in people who breathe in polluted air every day. Pollution from cars, power plants and industrialized areas increases these risks. Yet they represent only one percent of cancer deaths lung. Experts have suggested that each one-day exhibition at the heavily polluted air can be compared to passive smoking.
