Quit Smoking Remedies

I smoke cigarettes… When I quit smoking is there a good way to rid your body of the toxins?
I know smoking is a really bad habit… I want to quit soon. Is there any home remedies to rid your body of the toxins you put from smoking. Cigarettes have a lot of toxins & God knows what else. I know for a fact that smoking for a while will eventually lead to bad acne, yellow teeth etc. I want to prevent that but I also want to cleanse my body. Is there an inexpensive way of doing that at your own home? Thanks in advanced.
believe it or not water water water.. tap or room temperature water, works better than ice water, because you can drink more.. when i was newly quit kept a gallons of bottled water around at room Temperature..
actually folks in the recovery community have a list of tools we call the 5D,s.. these are tools that we use to cope with cravings, and detoxification in general.. here’s what to do when you crave a smoke..
Distract.. (do something else) for instance its hard to wash dishes and light up
Delay.. if you delay forever you will never smoke again!!
Discuss.. in the recovery community we call friends, or post an e-mail
Deep breathe.. yes yogis, and musicians and ex smokers.. actually most of us didn’t deep breathe except when inhaling a cig..
Drink water .. yep it a proven way to flush toxins, and a good healthy habit to get into..
although i have heard good things about teas, orange juice, and of course the cranberry juice, plain old water works, and works well..
i learned a lot of this stuff, from other quitters, and from friends that had been quit a while.. after smoking for over 40 years, i have been abstinent for over 5 years now.. largly, because of my involvement in a support group.. i attend nicotine anonymous meetings locally, and on line.. on line voice meetings, are as close as your computer.. should you want support.. you are welcome at meetings, smoking or quit, we encourage people to attend meetings, before actually attempting a quit.. good luck!!
