Quit Smoking Mucus Excess

Can I keep my range of singing if I only smoke when I'm drunk?
I am a theater performer and I'm stopping smoking. I know it's bad for a singer because of lung capacity and excess mucus! But how would it be bad if I only smoke when I 'm drunk? Mind … I am a college student, but not a party animal! I go probably once or twice a weekend. Let's say I do not smoke, such as 3 to 5 cigarettes on the nights! And please, not to say that I'll become addicted because I believe in mind over the body and I have not smoked since April this year and I fully understand the psychology of addiction to nicotine (that's all routine!) What I say is, like smoking and drinking that routine, my, will that decrease my reach if I am only to do from time to time? I am a social smoker …. Most of my friends smoke and that's all peer pressure! I know! stupid reason!
Booze and smokes will give you a good blues voice. Listen to Lightnin 'Hopkins, and you'll see what I mean. And … you are a college student, who smokes only 3-5 "only on nights, eh? And you believe in "mind over matter"? That's funny. Wait 'Til You're 40-something, still drinking and smoking, and like my ex. Mark my words. Quit now.
